LG Electronics LST-5600A ProSelect Series Interface Box for Plasma and LCD TVs with RS-232

Use the LG ProSelect LST-5600A box as a pay-per-view interface module with integrated HD Tuner. You can pair it with a Plasma or LCD television to deliver premium content. This box supports MPI control.

The LST-5600A allows you to monitor a remote television. You can control power, input source, and adjust volume settings as well as change channels directly or through MPI.

Pay-Per-View Interface Module and MPI Control


Use LST-5600A as a pay-per-view interface module with integrated HD (ATSC) Tuner that also supports MPI control. The MPI connector is a standard RJ-11. Your computer should have control software and standard serial (RS-232) interface.
  

Pairing with Plasma, or LCD Television


You should pair LST-5600A with a Plasma, or LCD television (with RS-232 interface) to deliver premium content. Using LST-5600A, you can monitor a remote television. You can control power on-off, input source and adjust volume settings as well as change channels directly or through MPI. You can also verify information that the television is on-line and is operating according to customer's requirements.
  

Command Set

You can use these commands for Digital MPI: Power on and off, Volume up and down and set maximum and minimum volume.
  

TV Status Request


You can get the signal strength, power status, volume level and channel number for a particular television. You should be able to address one display.

  • Remote Television Control - Control power on/off, input sources, adjust volume settings and change channels directly or through MPI
  • Remote Television Monitoring - Status of each television can be monitored, providing information to verify that television is on-line and operating in compliance with the customer’s requirements
